Life changing miracle through College
Hey there,
Welcome back, if you have read my previous blog article, then you know what’s coming next. – If not then, you are really “jumping” into it, but hey that is great because then most likely you won’t be able to put down your phone or you can’t shut down your laptop, you want to keep reading and reading, as you are so desperate about what’s going on in my photography life.
So here we go again after I started my studies at the Deutsche POP Akademie during fall 2017 my life started to turn upside down slowly.
As I like to meet new people and to me, it’s essential to make connections I decided to go to a “network event” at college. From the first time on, I started to build up contacts with musicians, producers, make-up artists, hairstylists, models and many more creative minds along with my fellow photography and media designer colleagues.
You are asking yourself why Management when I am a photographer?
Well, I tell you what, as you probably read in my previous blog entry besides having Photo- & Media design courses, I also study Management. Sometimes I do feel that these courses what I do can be overwhelming and tiring, but “how shall I say it?” as I was an IB student, I know what pressure means.
So what is IB?
It stands for International Baccalaureate, which is an education program it offers high-quality education to more than one million students in more than 146 countries. In my final two years at high school, I was studying for the IB Diploma. This Diploma is internationally accredited worldwide (except in Germany) given by the Genova International Baccalaureate Organization. To be an IB student, especially if English is not your native language, it can be tuff and challenging. I am the perfect example of that, but many other students have done IB or are doing it right now. There is a saying that: “IB students don’t have social lives. “ Which is eventually true, compared to “A levels” or any other programs, IB is way more complex, and the expectations are much higher. Tons of Internal Assessments, TOK Presentation, Extended Essay were due, not to mention the regular test and assignments that I had to deal with. But I can proudly say that in the end, it was worth it. Even if my final two years of high school were challenging, with encountering ups and downs and having sleepless nights was part of it.
Time to get back!
Okay, it´s time to get back to the photography world. However, as you can see, I can write a lot about IB too, I don’t even know why I gave such an in-depth analysis kind of… Let’s say it’s just because I enjoy it, plus I think it belongs to my story too…!
